Scion Staffing, is searching for a Warehouse Operator on behalf of our client, a team of moving and storage experts in the fine arts and designer services industry!  This is a wonderful direct hire position offering a full-time, on-site opportunity reporting onsite at our client’s South San Francisco, CA office!
 

PERKS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support to the Inventory Team.
  • Handle and unpack items in preparation for the next inventory as required.
  • Assist with setting up an image of an item as needed.
  • Record the dimensions and conditions of an item as required.
  • Pack and store inventoried items as needed.
  • Scan property to ensure accurate inventory locations are always maintained.
  • Catalogue and upload images of items on Moveware and iLive.
  • Update data for object references.
  • Properly handle art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture.
  • Prepare condition checks and reports as needed.
  • Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage.
  • Support the Warehouse Team when needed, as directed by the Inventory Controller and Warehouse Manager.
  • Support Inventory Controller with managing inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of logistical, warehousing and art handling experience, including packing.
  •  A knowledge of storage structure in the warehouse so that when goods are moved for safety the new locations are correctly amended and noted.
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Impeccable communication and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Moveware, and iLive preferred.
  • Ability to work confidentially with high profile clientele.
  • Fine art logistics background or similar preferred.
  • Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift 70 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight daily without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart.
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead.

COMPENSATION:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25/hr (DOE) in addition to comprehensive benefits!
