Scion Nonprofit Staffing, a full-service national staffing firm, is searching for a Human Resources Assistant provide support to their HR team - a dynamic, fast-paced nonprofit organization based in Oakland, CA! This is an onsite, contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Maintain and update electronic personnel files
  • Scan physical employee personnel documents and files to ensure data integrity and legal compliance
  • Perform HR files and records audits to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department including invoice and expense processing
  • Administer onboarding and off boarding process and forms including I-9 verification, background checks, offer letters and promotion letters
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Previous experience with Iron Mountain or similar systems required
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and research skills
  • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS, ATS

Compensation:
This opportunity offers a competitive pay range of $25.00-27.00, depending on experience! You will also be able to receive medical benefits through Scion Staffing upon eligibility!
