Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Actuary Director for a highly respected and innovative insurance company in the Property and Casualty space. This is a full-time, onsite role at their office in Nashville, TN (relocation provided).

POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking an experienced Actuary Director to join their team. The role involves leading actuarial modeling efforts, product profitability analysis, and driving key business decisions through data insights. This opportunity offers an impactful position that combines technical expertise and leadership in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development and maintenance of actuarial databases and financial forecasting models
  • Design and implement pricing strategies, products, and rating plans to meet profitability and growth objectives
  • Analyze product profitability and associated risks to guide business decisions
  • Manage and mentor actuarial teams, promoting a positive, collaborative, and productive culture
  • Develop and execute predictive modeling, including data construction, analysis, and implementation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including product management and accounting, to ensure alignment with organizational goals

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • ACAS/FCAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society is preferred along with a commitment to continuing education requirements
  • Completion of 3 or more examinations with the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Proficiency in actuarial modeling, statistical analysis, and financial forecasting
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, R, SQL, or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly
