Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Development Manager for a meaningful and mission-driven international nonprofit organization supporting the military efforts of Israel. This full-time position is hybrid, based in New York, NY, with engagement across Long Island communities.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding and cultivating a high-capacity donor base, focusing on communities with high growth potential. Reporting to the director, this position will lead development efforts through major donor cultivation, event execution, and strategic engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create meaningful impact and join a dynamic, supportive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement donor growth strategies in collaboration with the director
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward new major donors (giving $5,000+ annually), with a focus on Long Island communities
  • Build strong relationships with donors through tailored outreach and engagement
  • Lead and support planning and execution of key events, including galas and community gatherings
  • Develop new engagement opportunities and cultivate relationships with foundations
  • Strategically expand into high-growth areas like Woodbury, Dix Hills, and West Hempstead


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven success in donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and event execution
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
  • High proficiency with fundraising CRMs and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Long Island’s philanthropic landscape and community dynamics


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers an annual salary of $95,000 to $115,000, depending on experience. The organization provides comprehensive health coverage, early Shabbat dismissal, 403(b) with employer match, FSA, generous PTO, and observance of Jewish and federal holidays.
