Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Construction Attorney for our client, a prestigious law firm specializing in complex construction and business-related matters across the Southwest! This exceptional opportunity allows you to join a highly-regarded team handling sophisticated litigation and transactional work for design professionals, contractors, manufacturers, and owners throughout Arizona and beyond. This full-time remote position is for immediate hire and is attached to the firm's Phoenix, AZ location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of construction-related matters, including both litigation and transactional work
  • Represent design professionals, construction professionals, contractors, manufacturers, and owners
  • Handle matters including multi-million dollar private and public works construction cases
  • Participate in contract creation and negotiations for significant projects
  • Provide claims assistance during the course of design and construction
  • Manage lien actions, mediation, arbitration, litigation, trial, and appellate services
  • Work closely with clients and insurance carriers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Maintain detailed billable hour tracking to meet a yearly target of 1,950 hours
  • Collaborate with firm partners and support staff via weekly case discussions
  • Meet virtually with supervising partners on a regular basis to review case strategy and progress

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active Arizona Bar license required (California license or willingness to obtain CA license preferred)
  • 2-7 years of legal experience in construction law or related fields
  • Experience with insurance clients preferred
  • Strong litigation and/or transactional skills
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, particularly regarding billable hour tracking
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience with construction industry contracts and disputes
  • Local to the Phoenix, AZ area

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
