Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for a Legal Transcriptionist on behalf of our client, a well-established law firm in Phoenix, AZ. This is an on-site, contract-to-hire position with the opportunity to turn into a permanent role for the right candidate!

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $27, a monthly technology stipend, medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. Responsibilities:
- Transcribe legal dictation and recorded audio files into accurate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, correspondence, and court reports.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammar, clarity, formatting, and legal accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with attorney-client privilege requirements.
- Ensure all documents are prepared and delivered within established timelines.
- Organize and archive transcripts electronically in the firm’s document management system.
- Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to clarify legal terminology, formatting, or case details.
- Maintain familiarity with court rules and legal formatting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent typing speed with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with transcription software, Microsoft Office Suite, or legal case management systems.
