Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Regional Manager on behalf of a respected, mission-driven nonprofit organization operating licensed early learning and child care centers. This is a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity that holds an office at the association and requires regular travel between centers in the area.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple early learning and child care centers, supporting operational excellence, staff leadership, quality programming, and financial performance. This role ensures centers exceed licensing, health, safety, and quality standards while advancing an inclusive, mission-aligned culture. Reporting to senior early learning leadership, the Regional Manager serves as a key representative to families, staff, sponsors, and community partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and operational support across multiple centers
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health, safety, accreditation, and quality standards
  • Coach, develop, and hold Center Directors accountable for operational, enrollment, and financial performance
  • Independently manage a schedule that includes regular onsite visits and center evaluations
  • Partner with senior leadership and corporate teams to implement programs, systems, and initiatives
  • Serve as a visible, mission-aligned leader to families, staff, sponsors, and community stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS (Must Meet State Requirements)
  • Additional center/school requirements may apply
  • BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field required (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Ten–Twelve years’ experience as a Center Director/Principal or comparable management and supervisory experience
  • A combination of infant, toddler, or preschool teaching experience and actual administration of a child care center
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and fiscal management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Well versed in accreditation, quality rating, and licensing standards
  • Responds well to unusual or crisis situations
  • Strong knowledge in developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Computer literacy required
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of families and staff
  • Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences
  • Experience managing multiple locations
  • Experience with corporate sponsors desirable

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Annual salary of $85,000, with some flexibility based on experience
