Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Media Operations Engineering Lead for a respected, mission-driven organization.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Fort Worth, TX, supporting technical facilities operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is responsible for maintaining engineering standards, ensuring system reliability, and minimizing downtime across media, IT, and building technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced production environments and brings both strategic oversight and practical troubleshooting expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead day-to-day technical operations for broadcast, studio, and facilities systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, preventative maintenance schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and real-time support for live broadcasts, production equipment, and facilities systems.
  • Supervise technical vendors and coordinate installations, upgrades, and system repairs.
  • Partner cross-functionally to plan system improvements, manage projects, and support long-range technical initiatives.
  • Support on-site and occasional off-site productions, including setup, teardown, and camera systems as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong experience supporting live broadcast, studio, or media operations environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of broadcast signal flow (analog and digital), media systems, and physical plant operations.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot under pressure and remain calm during live production scenarios.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable working onsite with physical requirements including lifting equipment and accessing studio or facilities spaces.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and long-term stability within a mission-driven organization.
