Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accountant for a mission-driven organization supporting diverse community programs. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire position based in Longview, WA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Accountant plays a central role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting organizational decision-making. This position works across multiple departments to prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist with audits and reconciliations. The role requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the organization’s mission and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports across multiple departments

• Manage journal entries, general ledger functions, and account reconciliations

• Support month-end close processes and interfund transfers

• Assist with audit preparation and implementation of corrective action plans

• Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial reporting and interpretation

• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant laws and accounting standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong general accounting experience with exposure to P&L statements and journal entries

• Ability to work across multiple departments or organizational units

• Experience supporting financial reporting and reconciliations

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office tools

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse teams

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $42 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days.
