Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Human Resources Coordinator for immediate hire for a well-known Nonprofit organization in Belltown. This is an exciting Full-Time, Contract-To-hire, Hybrid opportunity located onsite in Seattle, WA! You will be working 2-3 days onsite in their Belltown office. 

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will report to the Human Resources Manager and utilize your experience to provide vital support to the department and foster positive employee experiences within the organization!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Human Resource Generalist with important operational processes, such as preparing new hire packets, onboarding new employees, updating HRIS data processing payroll changes, administering benefits, and generating reports
  • Create and maintain employee files and records while ensuring compliance
  • Update information in HRIS, such as hires, pay changes, status changes, transfers, and separations according to payroll processing schedules
  • Respond to requests for employment verification and unemployment claims by providing timely, accurate and authorized information
  • Review new hire paperwork, verify completion, and follow up
  • Reconcile benefits plan invoices monthly, ensuring new hires and terminations are properly reflected
  • Respond to general HR inquiries by phone, email and in-person
  • Assist with maintaining employment law compliance by updating notices and postings
  • Create and run reports for auditing, reconciliations, and the retrieval, compilation and analysis of staff data
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and other recurring events or requirements
  • Serve as back-up to HR Generalist in their absence

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus!
  • This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The pay range for this role is $30 - $32 per hour and it is a wonderful opportunity to further develop your career.
