Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Benefits Analyst (Pension) for our amazing client, a highly successful third-party administrator of employer benefits in Portland, OR. This full-time, contract opportunity is ready for immediate hire and has a hybrid schedule. 


  • Ability to get started immediately in a hybrid remote setting! 

  • Competitive hourly pay rate in the $36 to $39+ range! 

  • Full-time (40 hours a week) Monday through Friday schedule! 

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance offered while on assignment! 



  • Experience in defined benefit pension and/or defined contribution & 401(k) administration is desired 

  • Responsible for delivering a wide range of services including, but not limited to: overall customer service, retirement application processing, pension verification and calculations 

  • Performs related duties requiring the use of independent judgment, analysis and detailed knowledge of company and/or department procedures related to work performed 

  • Carry out additional tasks as needed for continual improvement of the level of customer service delivered to our clients 

  • Have a working knowledge of employee benefits 


  • Overall customer service orientation 

  • Knowledge and application of benefit plan rules and providing retirement plan services  

  • Keyboard skills, intermediate level typing and accurate 10-key abilities 

  • Intermediate level skills with MS office suite including in Word/Outlook/Excel 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills 

  • Good math skills including ability to calculate benefits 

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task. Be a detail oriented, fast paced, flexible, team player 

  • Maintaining complicated and detailed records and file organization paper/electronic 

  • Contributes to a positive work environment by communicating in a professional and positive manner 

  • Ability to ask clarifying questions to complete tasks in the most efficient manner possible 

  • Ability to follow policies, procedures and guidelines 


This incredible opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate in the $36 - $39 range depending on experience and provides health, vision, and dental insurance while on assignment.
