Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Tax Associate with a small tax firm working remotely from anywhere in the US! This tax firm is busy and growing! What you’ll do:
  • Report to the Partner and gain experience in all areas of the firm’s business
  • Prepare, review, and manage state and federal income taxes for individuals, businesses, and other clients.
  • Perform technical analysis of tax issues affecting clients
  • Conduct research to assist with identifying and implementing strategic tax initiatives
  • Prepare and review year-end accounting entries and assist clients with accounting issues
  • Locate legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
  • Ensure clients follow federal, state, and local tax laws
 
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA license or working towards a CPA, or Enrolled Agent License or studying for it
  • Strong knowledge of Internal Revenue Code
  • Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
 
Compensation:
This permanent position is a great opportunity to be mentored by an experienced Tax Professional with the possibility of becoming Partner yourself! While headquartered in Austin, TX, this is a remote position! The targeted salary for the Tax Accountant is $90k-$100k based on experience. Join a team and company that fosters a growth mindset!
