Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a STEM Education Program Manager for our client, a national Nonprofit organization dedicated to finding innovative solutions inspired by nature to work toward building a healthier planet. This is a wonderful, remote (in MT, CA, or PA) full-time, direct hire opportunity with a mission driven team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage parts of projects which include training, workshops, submission judging, and budgeting.
  • Assist in implementing the overall youth education program strategy.
  • Increase growth and retention of student youth programs.
  • Oversee curricula development for adjunct programs.
  • Develop recommendations on the best instructional practices for aligning the program to middle school versus high school needs.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Youth Education and other staff as needed.
  • Carry out the overall youth education program strategy.
  • Provide grant proposal elements and reports for use by the Development Team to secure funding for Youth Education.
  • Support program email account, responding to inquiries and supporting participants as first point of contact for the program.
     
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, science, engineering/design/bio-inspired or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience working with teachers and/or students.
  • Experience managing and editing a website.
  • Experience supporting curriculum development and adoptions at the school site, district, or county level.
  • Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Employs anti-racist practices and principles to accomplish work.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Incorporates an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens into programs.
  • Teaches using equitable and inclusive pedagogy.
 
COMPENSATION:
This opportunity offers a salary of $65,000 to $75,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and paid holidays).
