Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Purchasing & Logistics Manager for our client, a local company that specializes in designing unique and functional products. This is an exciting Full-Time, Direct-Hire opportunity located onsite at Poulsbo, WA!

As the Purchasing & Logistics Manager, you will report to the VP of Manufacturing. You will direct and execute day to day operations associated with materials management and logistics. You will also manage and develop a team of 12-15 people. Your knowledge in supply management along with your skills in communication and building positive relationships will help you succeed in supporting this company!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish inventory requirements based on a combination of factors including vendor lead time, manufacturing operating tempo and new product introductions
  • Partner with Scheduling, Manufacturing and Engineering departments when developing material and inventory management plans
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance of current vendors (cost, quality, delivery). Source new vendors to obtain the best value and minimize supply chain risks
  • Review and approve purchase orders and requisitions
  • Apply best practices to inventory management to minimize inventory shrink and order fulfillment errors
  • Ensure the reliability of applicable inventory and PO data in the ERP system, including management of the cycle counting and annual, physical inventory process
  • Manage the processes associated with packaging and shipping.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to measure the overall effectiveness of the material management and logistics function
  • Manage the Purchasing, Receiving, Warehouse, and Shipping teams
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in all aspects of the team’s responsibilities


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years of Purchasing & Logistics experience
  • 3+ years of Management experience
  • Intermediate Proficiency with Excel
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus!
  • This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually, and it is a wonderful opportunity to further develop your career.
