Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Nonprofit Accounting Manager for our client, a wonderful well-established nonprofit providing essential resources and services to underserved people in Medford, OR! This position is for immediate hire and offers an incredible opportunity to grow and contribute to a welcoming team!
The Accounting Manager will help to elevate the organization’s impact in the community through supporting financial processes. If you are a staff accountant with several years of GAAP experience looking to grow, or a seasoned accounting professional looking to make a difference, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Controller and Finance Team with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial activities including preparing the annual budget, annual audit, and financial forecasts
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts monthly
  • Support accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, fixed assets, records management, and period-end processes
  • Operate effectively within the organizations internal controls and ensure compliance

Qualifications:
  • Prior nonprofit experience required
  • Strong connection to the organization's mission
  • Extensive experience working with US GAAP, fund and/or project accounting, audits, budgets, grants and contract compliance, reporting, and project management
  • Excellent communication skills and project management skills paired with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s license with a good-standing driving record
     
Compensation:
This position offers a yearly salary of $59,270K - $85K along with full benefits including medical, flexible spending account, health savings account, dental, vision, and more!
