Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Community and Volunteer Coordinator for our client, a local Nonprofit organization focused on providing support to those in the community who are experiencing homelessness. This is an exciting Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire opportunity located onsite in San Francisco, CA!

As the Community and Volunteer Coordinator, you will jump in to assist with the annual event that connects the community with essential services! You will utilize your outgoing personality and incredible relationship building abilities to engage the volunteers and help to ensure a successful event!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Positively represent the organization at events
• Coordinate supplies and outreach material for distribution
• Monitor the organization’s website to ensure that all current volunteer opportunities and current ways to sign up are easily accessible and accurate
• Respond to email and ensure that all communication is timely, and messages are clearly communicated.
• Communicate with volunteers about current and future opportunities
• Manage communications and coordination of Reps with the support of the Events Director
• Develop and deliver general and special events volunteer orientation
• Ensure that all paperwork hours are recorded and filed accurately after volunteer participation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of Nonprofit Volunteer Coordinator experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Basecamp, or Volunteer Hub is a plus!
• This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. As a cautionary measure, the client is asking all workers to be fully vaccinated for COVID -19 by the date of hire. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a brilliant and thriving team! The pay range for this role is $28 per hour to convert to $58 - $60k upon conversion to a permanent position.
