Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Staff Nurse to join a team of highly skilled physicians! This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity located in Menlo Park, CA.

The ideal Ambulatory Surgery Staff Nurse is self-motivated, possesses strong problem-solving skills and can demonstrate a high level of care for patients in a surgery setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform patient assessments and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate, communicating information to MD and other providers as appropriate
• Maintain proper sterilization protocols to prepare necessary supplies and equipment for surgical room and particular procedures
• Provide efficient and compassionate patient care, answering patient questions and providing additional resources as needed
• Demonstrate high level of organizational skills and attention to detail, organizing patient charts, forms, and directives
• Perform pre/post-op care
• Contribute to positive work environment, demonstrating sharp and level-headed composure in emergent situations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from accredited nursing program
• Current California RN license
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification
• 3+ years’ experience in RN roles, minimum 1 year experience in Operating Room or critical care setting
• Ability to function both independently and collaboratively when needed
• Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality for all patient and clinic information

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
