The Project Manager is a full-time position responsible for coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. This role oversees all aspects of projects. The project manager will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. The successful candidate will work to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. They will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration. The project manager will work in partnership with program and organizational leadership to advance multiple complex projects simultaneously while strengthening working relationships with staff, funders, and other partners. The project
manager’s responsibilities include project management, stakeholder engagement, and performance management of projects.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
 
Project Management
  • Assists in the definition of project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develops a detailed project plans and processes to monitor and track progress
  • Creates and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs through consultation with program and organizational leaders
  • Coordinates and contributes to grant proposals including developing projections for potential projects
  • Attends conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
     
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Establishes, maintains, and manages effective project teams composed of funders, subject matter experts and other relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitates team decision-making to ensure the project teams meet their objectives
  • Coordinates the work of multiple project teams
  • Delegates project tasks based on team members individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Shares project plans and an appropriate level of information with relevant project stakeholders
  • Meets with funders to identify and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Identifies and advocates for resource availability and allocation
  • Use and continually develop strategic leadership skills
 
Performance Management of Projects
  • Measures performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Reports out on progress and escalates challenges to management as needed
  • Meets budgetary objectives and adjusts project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Performs risk management and identifies opportunities to minimize potential risks
 
What You Need to Be Successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, drug and alcohol education or criminology is preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Extensive project management experience
  • Experience with project management experience, Microsoft Office Suites, and SharePoint
  • Experience with SACWIS preferred
  • Professional certification, or progress towards a certification preferred
 
Compensation
A rewarding career and an annual salary of between $55-65K depending on experience plus a full and robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement with a 3% employer match, and a generous amount of paid time off plus an additional 8 floating holidays.
