Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join a compassionate and dynamic team! Our client is a nonprofit organization with a passion for providing mental health resources to youth and their families in our community. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position working a hybrid schedule – reporting on-site at the organization’s San Jose, CA office.

The ideal Medical Billing Specialist is skillful in billing administration, a natural leader and problem-solver, and shares a passion for serving local communities!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other members of the finance team on various projects and accounting responsibilities.
  • Manage all client accounts, troubleshoot client inquiries, and invoice concerns
  • Communicate with clients on upcoming or missed payments
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all client forms, claims, and invoices
  • Oversee financial accounts, balances, and reports and report to the accounting team

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years’ experience in Billing Administration/Management, preferably in healthcare and nonprofit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and EHR System software
  • Strong ability to maintain client confidentiality
  • Exceptional customer service communication skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
