Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Accountant for our client, a successful architecture firm in San Francisco, CA. This is an exciting full-time, direct-hire, hybrid opportunity.

We are looking for an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented individual, with strong communication skills and excellent bookkeeping/accounting skills. This position requires the candidate to juggle a multitude of deadlines, coordinate with cross-functional teams (project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and accounting), and handle project contracts.

This is a “full charge” accounting position with responsibilities spanning A/P, A/R, Payroll, GL, filings, and insurance. Candidate must have a professional demeanor, thrive in a service-oriented position, be a hardworking, punctual, honest, loyal, and motivated self-starter. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate full cycle accounts payable, including obtaining approval of vendor invoices, coding, entering invoices and processing payments.
  • Process employee expense reports.
  • AP accruals, tracking of fixed and other assets.
  • Maintain, prepare, and distribute yearly form 1099s.
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll through PrimePay
  • Reconcile Employee’s PTO
  • Manage 401K contributions through ADP
  • Prepare and submit timely invoices to clients
  • Manage collections and cash receipts, and monitor Accounts Receivable aging report
  • Advise the company on past dues, reconcile customer accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Maintain company’s Business insurances: General Liability, Auto, Professional, Workers Comp
  • Monthly Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain all files and records in accordance with policies and procedures in an organized manner
  • Prepare audit file; provide support to, and gather necessary account information and documents for external auditors and other reviews
  • File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
  • File required registrations for federal, state, and local government certifications and obtain business licenses for municipalities where the firm has project assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, CPA a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial principles, and reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products
  • Must have at least 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Deltek (Advantage) a plus
  • A/E/C Experience preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a dedicated and committed team! The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $100,000 annually, plus dental and vision insurance and PTO!
