Scion Staffing is searching for a Litigation Legal Assistant on behalf of our client, a law firm specializing in insurance recovery, litigation, as well as business transactions in Southwest Portland, OR! This is a wonderful direct hire position offering a full-time, hybrid, opportunity to join a high-power team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support three attorneys and a paralegal in day to day litigation
  • Prepare documents and enclosures for filing with the court.
  • Manage attorney calendars accurately.
  • Proofread and edit documents using Adobe software.
  • Make travel arrangements, schedules depositions, mediations, telephone conferences mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation including subpoenas for witnesses and trial documents for the court.
  • Assist other legal assistants when needed.
  • Research court documents/dockets, and location of potential parties.
  • Help prepare briefs including table of contents and authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 5-7+ years of relative experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational and administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and follow through, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, Outlook, Excel, and eFiling.

COMPENSATION:
In addition to working for an amazing law firm with a positive team-oriented work environment, this position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 DOE in addition to a full benefits package.
