Scion Technical has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an Electrical Software Engineer on behalf of our client, an electrical manufacturing company located just north of Philadelphia, PA! 

This company prides themselves on their patented LED technology, serving as the preferred emergency lighting manufacturer for leading architects on both big and small installations and projects!

The Electrical Software Engineer will have the opportunity to support the growing product development needs for the company - interfacing with their engineering and manufacturing teams to develop exciting new products and to support existing product lines!

• Starting base salary range between $90-110k.

What you will be doing: 

• Designing and developing of embedded firmware, digital circuitry, and analog circuitry for the following applications: battery charging/testing, switching power supplies, high and low power LED light sources, and communication interfaces. 
• Utilizing CAD Design Tools for PCB Layout.
• Developing requirements and coordinating with manufacturing systems software teams to create tools and enable new and existing processes. 
• Communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy. 

What you will need: 

• 5+ years of proven experience in systems engineering, design, assembly, or testing electronics designs in a new product development environment. 
• Strong embedded firmware development skills for use in low power embedded systems using C and assembly. 
• Power circuit design experience - 120VAC and 277VAC electrical networks. 
• Experience designing systems that utilize batteries and charging systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a customer-focused environment. 
• Ability to adhere to physical demands while working onsite.
