Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Donor Engagement Officer on behalf of our incredible client, an independent news network committed to advancing progressive social change. This amazing direct-hire opportunity has a hybrid onsite/remote full-time schedule in Denver, CO.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing a portfolio of about 250 leadership annual giving donors ($500 - $9,999), including working with the Development Director to establish a cohesive strategy and executing that strategy with the support of the Development Team through phone, email, mail, and text communications; special events (virtual and in-person); and leadership matching gifts program
  • Building a strategy for, and soliciting corporate matching gifts
  • Contributing to the strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation of major gifts through regular collaboration with the Major Gifts Team
  • Contributing to all projects on the Development Team as needed
  • Promoting fundraising programs via on-air pitching (on TV and the Internet)
  • Some travel may be required

What you need to be successful:
  • Dedication to social justice and a drive to affect change
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Experience working in fundraising, community organizing, campaigning, sales, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work cohesively on a small team in a small organization
  • Confidence in asking for donations and building relationships with a diversity of people

This position with our client will require employees to be onsite weekly in Denver, CO. As a cautionary measure, our client is asking all employees to be fully vaccinated by the date of hire. Compensation:
This opportunity offers a competitive annual salary in the $60,000 to 65,000 range, plus a generous benefits package with subsidized health and dental insurance; free vision coverage; and Life, Long-Term Disability, and Short-Term Disability insurances paid by the organization. Additionally benefits include nine (9) paid holidays, plus the week between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31; ten (10) to twenty (20) paid days off for employees, based on years served. The client also provides paid Sick Leave, Personal Days, Parental Leave, Sabbatical Leave, and a 401k plan.
