Scion Technical has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced IT Project/Vendor Management Specialist for our client, a wonderful Financial Services organization with locations in NYC and Los Angeles! In this role, the IT Project/Vendor Management Specialist will work with MSP and outside vendors, reviewing IT solutions and options, vetting solutions, and overseeing the implementation of selected products and services. In addition, you’ll be the liaison between users, operations, and the contracted managed services provider; ensuring that IT solutions are efficient, up to date, SLAs are being followed, and issues are resolved. This is a part time, contract role that can be mostly remote, but needs to be able to occasionally go onsite in either LA or NYC.

• Recommend IT solutions and oversee implementation/enhancement projects
• Ensure IT systems are secure and compliant
• Oversee MSP operations, ensuring services are delivered appropriately; recommend other solutions/vendors
• As necessary, internal support for general IT needs (troubleshooting, onboarding, etc)

• Demonstrated experience in IT leadership/management
• Experience running full life cycle IT projects from end to end
• Experience researching, evaluating, analyzing IT vendors and solutions to accommodate operational needs
• Experience in working with vendors to review and vet their products and work with executive leadership on selecting products, services and solutions that best suit the firm’s needs.
• Experience working with and managing 3^rd party vendors/outsourced IT providers, ensuring agreed upon metrics are met
• Financial services or regulated industry experience is preferred.
