Scion Staffing is conducting an immediate search for a Paralegal on behalf of our client, a mid-size litigation defense firm in Indianapolis, IN! This is an exciting onsite position offering a full-time work schedule and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our client’s success!

Exciting compensation salary range of $65,000-70,000 (DOE) plus benefits
Responsibilities:
-
Draft motions/pleadings as requested (Motions for Extension of Time, Motion for Leave to Depose, Motion to Dismiss, Motions for Summary Judgment, Notices of Depositions, etc.) (Billing dependent on client guidelines)

Draft Non-Party Subpoenas and Request for Production of Documents and medical authorizations
-
Draft FOIA/APRA Requests
-
Communicate/Follow up with facilities RE Subpoenas/FOIA/APRA requests
-
Review responsive records that come in in response to Subpoenas/FOIA/APRA Requests to ensure compliance.

Draft Discovery requests (Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admissions)
-
Draft initial objections to discovery requests that are served on our clients
-
Trial Preparation (example, Exhibits binders, verifying medical special summaries, etc.)
-
Special projects as requested.

Legal research as requested.
Requirements:
-
Civil Litigation and/or medical malpractice experience is a plus

Paralegal Certificate required
-
Skilled at Depositions and Subpoenas
-
Possess excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under strict deadlines.
Compensation:
This exciting opening offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team of legal professionals on a long term permanent basis and a competitive salary range of $65,000-70,000 (dependent on experience) and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, FSA plan, HSA plan, Life and AD&D Insurance, long-term disability, 401(k) plan, paid time off, personal days, sick time, and holidays!
