Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Child Care Site Supervisor for an incredible Nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality childcare programs through the delivery of culturally competent and research-based STEAM curriculum. This is an incredible full-time direct-hire opportunity located in San Jose, CA!

As the Child Care Site Supervisor you will report to the Program Director and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an incredible infant through kindergarten childcare facility!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to all licensing rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Deliver care and curriculum in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Participate in all training sessions
  • Follow program and agency procedures and policies to maintain an organized and positive classroom experience for children, including being in ratio to support the needs of the program.
  • Maintain compliance in accordance with title XX11 and Title V.
  • Disciplines children in a fair and positive manner.
  • Conducts and documents health, safety, and emergency activities.
  • Assesses and monitors children's needs and works to support positive development of each child.
  • Informs parents of child's daily behavior, activities, growth, etc.
  • Works cooperatively with parents and teachers to support the needs of each child.
  • Greets and treats each parent with professionalism.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with parents, landlords, schools, parent advisory groups, staff, colleagues, and community members.
  • Provide services which meet parents’ and families’ needs.
  • Provide information on additional resources that may assist families.
  • Supervises staff with respect and dignity.
  • Treats each child with respect and interacts with children in a caring, nurturing, and positive manner, including assisting with child cleanliness.
  • Provides positive reinforcement and encouragement for children.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Site Supervisor Permit issued by the commission on teacher credentialing.
  • 15-semester units (or equivalent quarter units) in ECE/CD
  • Infant/Toddler Care & Development (3 units minimum)
  • 4 years’ experience with children under the age of five.
  • Willingness to become certified in First Aid and CPR
  • Valid TB Test
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to become certified)
  • Fingerprint and background check
  • MMR, Pertussis, influenza, and Adult TB risk assessment.
  • Vaccinated for COVID 19
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
