Scion Nonprofit Staffing is leading a search for a Nonprofit Regional Coach for our client, an amazing organization that focuses on supporting caregivers and adoptive parents throughout Ohio! This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an impactful and professional growing nonprofit that works to keep kids out of the foster care system, located across the state of Ohio. This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity that can be worked locally remote in Northern Central Ohio just north of Columbus including the following counties: Ashland, Crawford, Delaware, Holmes, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Union, Wayne, and Wyandot

The Nonprofit Regional Coach will work closely with the Regional Director to ensure the service delivery and capacity building objectives of the program are successfully met within their region. This position requires an individual who is collaborative and can effectively work amongst several teams.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Meeting weekly with Kinship and Adoption Navigators and their Supervisors to consult on cases and support implementation of the practice model.
  • Responding to inquiries from prospective program participants and provides referrals and direct services as needed.
  • Coaching and supporting Kinship and Adoption Navigators and their Supervisors to evaluate and discern how each case with its individualized plan meets benchmarks set forth by the evaluation team.
  • Exercising a high level of confidentiality regarding donors, partnerships, and the children served.
  • Evaluating Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans for assigned navigator sites.
  • Partnering with Family Program Managers form other regions to identify and meet continued learn needs for Kinship and Adoption Navigators and their Supervisors.
  • Consistently review family engagement tools, genogram, and search tools.
  • Conducting case reviews for each specialist.
  • Working closely with various agencies and court representatives with clear communication.
  • Assisting case managers and court officials with accomplishing the policies outlined in the Fostering Connections to Success Act regarding relative/kin notification and placement.
  • Attending meetings and court hearings with specialists as requested.
  • Evaluating each case and assist in ensuring that benchmarks are accomplished.
  • Maintaining accurate file keeping for additional internal and external review.
  • Traveling between various communities and conduct in-home visits.

 WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, drug and alcohol education or criminology is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and maturity to work independently.
  • Flexibility with work hours to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams utilizing advanced strategies to overcome barriers.
  • Direct experience in the child welfare sector with knowledge of foster care and adoption.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to creatively approach obstacles.
  • Experience with conflict resolution, negotiation, and team facilitation.
  • Strong desire to contribute and make a positive impact on children in the foster care system.
  • Adaptability, a high level of organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills- must be personable.
  • Ability to display understanding and empathy.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to identify unique needs specific to various diverse populations.
  • Tactful and professional demeanor in sensitive situations.
 
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
A rewarding career and an annual salary of between $53,000-$58,000 depending on experience plus a full and robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement with a 3% employer match, and a generous amount of paid time off plus an additional 8 floating holidays.
