Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Administrative Assistant for our client, a community hospital dedicated to improving health and wellness for families in Chicago, IL! This is a wonderful, on-site, full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a mission-driven team!

Responsibilities:
  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
  • Receives and distributes office mail.
  • Arranges travel and accommodation.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Executive Director and/or other assigned leadership staff.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, presentations, invoices, reports, and other documents for senior staff.
  • Schedules and attends meetings, taking notes and record minutes.
  • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
  • Performs office tasks including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by executives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Background in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Two to four years of related experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to type 50 words a minute.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough, inquisitive, high sense of urgency with good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.

This position with our Client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. Compensation:
This exciting opportunity offers a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and paid holidays) as well as tuition reimbursement!
