Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Family Healthcare Manager on behalf of our client, an impactful and leading-edge global foundation with a remote team based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Shanghai. Reporting directly to the family Principal, the ideal candidate will have a strong nursing and healthcare information management background and a proven track record of discreetly and professionally managing sensitive information.

This position is onsite during Pacific Time core work hours, and physically based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is a plus.

We seek a detail-oriented, organized, and highly confidential Family Healthcare Manager to manage the complex medical records and oversee healthcare-related projects for a high-net-worth family with a crossover to assisting on healthcare projects for the family's philanthropic foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Medical Records Management (30% effort):
  • Compile, organize, and maintain comprehensive medical records, including medical history, test results, treatments, and other health-related information.
  • Interface with medical professionals and institutions to gather, confirm, and interpret medical records and data.
  • Ensure complete privacy and confidentiality of all medical information in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations.
Administrative and Coordination Responsibilities (40% effort):
  • Assist in the coordination of healthcare appointments, treatments, and procedures, ensuring relevant records are readily available for consultations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with doctors and other healthcare providers through regular communication and coordination.
  • Accompany and travel with the principal for healthcare related appointments
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software to manage and secure medical information effectively.
  • Regularly update and audit medical records and project statuses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with insurance company and other professionals as required, ensuring comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Generate summary reports and insights from the medical records and project milestones to assist in healthcare planning and decision-making.
Business Responsibilities (30% effort)- assisting the family's foundation
  • Support principal healthcare and philanthropy-related management.
  • Work with other staff on healthcare and philanthropy-related project relationship management.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is a plus. Conversational Mandarin is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in healthcare information management and project management. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and project management software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.

TRAVEL:
This role requires an ability to travel with the family- 5- 10% domestically.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
In addition to a competitive base salary of $140-$150K (DOE), this incredible role provides a comprehensive full-time employee benefits package.
