Scion Medical Staffing is searching for a talented Youth Clinician on behalf of our client, a highly regarded non-profit organization in San Rafael, CA! This is a permanent, on-site, direct-hire opportunity to join an impactful organization and a mission-driven team!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • A salary of $80,000 - $95,000, depending on experience
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct weekly counseling for residents, addressing behavior and psychosocial progress
  • Perform Mental Health Assessment within 10 days of UC placement
  • Ensure timely completion of required documentation, including case reviews and progress reports
  • Establish reunification and behavior management goals within specified time frames
  • Respond positively to unforeseen events and crises, engaging with clients, family, sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders
  • Familiarize yourself with community resources
  • Assist in developing discharge plans and define post-discharge services
  • Demonstrate dignity and respect for sponsors or families, following leadership principles
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders
  • Actively participate in meetings
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality
  • Perform other assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field
  • Must be registered with the BBS as an Associate or Licensed
  • Experience working with children, youth and families experiencing acute crisis that put the youth in jeopardy of being psychiatrically hospitalized
  • Experience working with at risk, disenfranchised and/or minority populations
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment, effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, including follow-up items
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, and listen attentively
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
