Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for our client, a globally impactful Nonprofit at the center of biodiversity, conservation, and human rights and working in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and movements worldwide. This is an exciting, Direct-Hire, opportunity based out of Seattle, WA!
As the Senior Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning, you will support the Database Administrator in the creation and management of the MEL systems as well as work across the organization to ensure effective implementation and adaptation of MEL systems.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the MEL system and assist cross organizational project teams and partners to collect and analyze project data.
  • Manage and design, implementation and improvement of MEL system in support of organizational impact and growth while mentoring team members on MEL approaches cross organizationally.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Database Manager to bridge system design between MEL tools and Salesforce Database.
  • Manage and keep current the MEL system and related tools (learning questions, key indicators, data collection tools etc.).
  • Create and implement a MEL expansion roadmap and related learning tools.
  • Serve as the MEL lead with all external programmatic partners and outside contractors interfacing with MEL system.
  • Design an MEL feedback process for teams to ensure data collected and findings are communicated across the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams on the alignment and integration of the MEL system to all facets of  the organization’s strategy.
  • Support the development of appropriate MEL tools such as questionnaires, interviews, and registration forms.
  • Support quality data entry.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and keep current data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Provide teams with accurate, practical, and useful MEL-related information in a consistent, timely manner to support evidence-based learning and decision making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations drawing from MEL frameworks and data.
  • Collaborate cross organizationally with teams for regular MEL reporting to Board, Leadership and key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience
  • 2 years of Power BI experience
  • Working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese 
  • Experience with Sharepoint, and Asana
  • Familiarity with political and economic issues facing Indigenous peoples
  • Familiarity with issues relating to climate and biodiversity
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
