Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Clinical Director on behalf of our esteemed client, a well-respected non-profit organization committed to championing the healing and safety of children in Los Angeles! This is a rewarding full-time, direct hire, hybrid opportunity to join an inspiring and mission-driven team! 

The ideal Clinical Director will be a proactive individual with a knack for problem-solving and an aptitude for forging new paths. They excel in constructing inventive solutions and demonstrating clinical proficiency, emphasizing a dedication to providing trauma-informed and survivor-centered care. Effective communication skills, adaptability, excellence, empathy, and a fervor for making a meaningful impact on survivors' lives are additional qualities sought in the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize existing clinical programs, ensuring effectiveness, interdepartmental collaboration, and adherence to trauma-informed and trauma-responsive approaches.

  • Champion a trauma-informed and survivor-centered approach across clinical services, promoting consistent, high-quality program management.

  • Lead a team of clinicians, mental health staff, and support staff, providing guidance, supervision, and professional development opportunities, and review client progress and treatment plans.

  • Oversee comprehensive data collection efforts, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with agency, regulatory, and legal requirements.

  • Maintain program records in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, upholding contract compliance and ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of monitoring, reports, and schedules.

  • Collaborate with program staff to assess clinical program quality, foster external research partnerships for insights, and provide supervision for Masters level staff seeking clinical hours.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to achieve programmatic strategic goals and ensure alignment with agency-wide priorities.

  • Work closely with the Director of Programs to establish a cohesive client and family support structure, and with the Assistant Clinical Director.

  • Assist in securing program funding through grant proposals and actively participate in planning and executing annual and quarterly staff events.

  • Foster partnerships with local and national organizations, governmental agencies, and service providers to enhance support for survivors. Represent the organization in various meetings, conferences, donor meetings, and collaborative efforts related to clinical services.

  • Provide direct supervision for the Assistant Director of Clinical Programs & Clinical Supervisor and Trainer, oversee Case Managers, Survivor Advocates, Parent Advocates, Crisis Responders, and other staff, ensuring effective resolution of client crises.

  • Contribute to strategic and organizational planning initiatives, collaborate with other departments, enforce agency policies, ensure compliance, and review external communications to maintain appropriate language and client confidentiality.


Qualifications

  • Hold a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with required licensure as a Master Social Worker (LCSW) or LMFT, maintained for a minimum of 2 years.

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical supervision and program management, demonstrating strong leadership in achieving program and organizational outcomes.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with clients in crisis and a minimum of 5 years working with at-risk youth, commercially exploited children and adults, or victims of sexual assault.

  • Demonstrate experience in collaborating with Foster Family Agencies, specifically in supporting the family joining process for youth in foster care.

  • Exhibit strong supervisory skills, excellent communication, and a sensitive approach to working with survivors.

  • Ability to take initiative in proactive issue resolution.

  • Possess a solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation procedures.

  • Valid driver’s license, as role requires occasional travel.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed due to urgent and niche organization matters.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of standards (e.g., ISO) and regulations in the clinical field, with expertise in clinical assessment techniques and evidence-informed practice guidelines.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive experience in working with county agencies such as law enforcement, DCFS, and the Probation Department, as well as legal, medical, housing, educational, employment, and social service agencies within the community.

  • Showcase proficiency in effective supervision, quality assurance, outcome measurements, data collection methods, evaluation concepts, contract administration, grant funding, Quality Improvement disciplines, and process improvement tools.

  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across various agencies and stakeholders.

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and reporting responsibilities.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.


Compensation
This opportunity offers an annual salary of $100,000 - $130,000 DOE + benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, PTO, PSL, retirement plans, maternity/paternity leave, technology reimbursements, and more!
