Scion Medical Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a direct-hire Facility Administrator on behalf of our amazing client, a fast-paced and dedicated Emergency Services Provider located in Austin, Texas! This is a wonderful permanent position offering a full-time onsite schedule and the opportunity to join a dedicated and patient-focused team!  

  • Responsible for direction of patient care activities.  

  • Manages staff in the emergency room, provides management of operations and nursing activities.  

  • Consults with staff, physicians, and the Medical Director on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure patient needs are met. 

  • Guiding the Emergency Room (ER) team with a strategic vision. Encourages and empowers staff to align with mission and value statements.  

  • Directly oversees the front office manager/staff, RNs, radiology personnel, pharmacy, and their respective managers/supervisors.  

  • Supervises pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology operations, ensuring adherence to risk management/quality assurance, environment of care/life safety, and infection control protocols. 

  • Exercises prudent judgment; applies effective written and oral communication skills in all business interactions, including but not limited to employees, vendors, patients, physicians, and the general public.  

  • Upholds and ensures compliance with applicable state, federal, and local laws, as well as requirements of relevant clinical agencies.  

  • Safeguards and upholds the confidentiality of patient and company information. Ensures proper handling and storage of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and the HITECH Act provisions as mandated by law. 


  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree.  

  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in management/supervision.  

  • Five (5) years of emergency room experience in all aspects of emergency nursing.  

  • Current RN license within the Texas State Board of Nursing and in good standing.  

  • Current BLS Certification.  

  • Current ACLS Certification.  

  • Current PALS Certification. 

  • Exceptional leadership and adept management prowess.  

  • Profound proficiency in computer technology.  

  • Deliver elevated standards of care for patients and exceptional customer service.  

  • Meticulous attention to particulars.  

  • Proficient collaboration as a team player.  

  • Demonstrate adaptability in navigating stressful conditions and flexibility aligned with departmental and expansion requirements.
