Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high priority search for a Program Manager for our client, an amazing organization that focuses on supporting caregivers and adoptive parents throughout Ohio! This role is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with primarily remote work arrangements, based in Ohio!

Position Description
Reporting to the Director of Strategy, the Program Manager will work collaboratively across the organization’s projects and programs to oversee, develop, and execute project processes, procedures, and strategies. By working closely with internal team members, external stakeholders, and experts, the Program Manager will play a pivotal role in analyzing current program initiatives and creating innovative solutions to advance the organization’s mission and impact. This position involves cultivating strong external partnerships, collaborating with statewide teams, and building a team of skilled professionals with a passion for community initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for project and program outcomes.

  • Engage in pilot activities and foster external partnerships to enhance program success. 

  • Manage budgeting, contracts, and supervision responsibilities.

  • Coordinate with strategic partners to advance project and program development efforts.

  • Attend relevant internal and external meetings, demonstrating effective presentation skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality and support the development of supplemental support for families.

  • Educate and support partners to fulfill commitments and manage implementation benchmarks collaboratively.

  • Supervise and motivate program staff, providing timely feedback and fostering a growth mindset.

  • Establish clear directions, feedback mechanisms, and workload management for direct reports.

  • Lead continuous quality improvement processes and effectively communicate the project’s vision and purpose to internal and external partners.

  • Participate in inclusion, diversity, equity, and access initiatives and contribute strategically to program development efforts.

  • Assist with special projects and assignments as required.


What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in social services, management, public policy, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or improvement change management capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams utilizing innovative strategies to overcome obstacles.

  • Proven track record of building and managing teams in a hybrid working environment.

  • Possess strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Experience working within the nonprofit, child welfare, social services, academia, or government settings, preferred.

  • Skilled in virtual meeting tools such as Zoom and Teams platforms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.


Compensation
This opportunity offers an annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 plus a full and robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement plans, and a generous amount of paid time off plus additional floating holidays.
