Scion Nonprofit Staffing is leading the search for an Operations Manager for our client, a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to instill holistic education! This is a contract and full-time opportunity working reporting onsite in our client’s San Francisco office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead daily school operations, overseeing main office management, transportation protocols, and communication with parents, students, and visitors.
  • Manage facilities maintenance, janitorial services, nutrition, and inventory/supply management.
  • Develop and implement systems for clear and accessible communication with families, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure teachers have necessary equipment and optimal classroom environments.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of school events, including setup.
  • Ensure timely completion of operational tasks to close out the school year successfully.
  • Support Leadership Team in strategic communication with staff and parents.
  • Collaborate across departments to establish realistic operational targets.
  • Document processes, monitor progress, and prepare status reports.
  • Report to Chief Operating Officer and contribute as a member of the Operations Team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in management science, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in operations within a similar industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and organizational management software
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred.
