Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Field Services Engineer for our client, a leader in the Semiconductor Manufacturing industry in Sunnyvale, CA!

What you will be doing
 

  • Performing preventative and unscheduled maintenance: Conducting both planned and ad-hoc maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Conducting on-site equipment installation and testing. Installing complex equipment and verifying its functionality on-site.
  • Generating technical reports and attending meetings. Documenting findings and participating in internal and client meetings.
  • Providing troubleshooting and repair support. Diagnosing and fixing issues for customers and colleagues.
  • Cultivating positive relationships with users and personnel helping to build rapport to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Travelling to customer sites for prompt support
  • Being available for travel, to address customer needs.
  • Completing and submitting service reports documenting service activities for records and reference.
  • Providing customer training on system maintenance and delivering training sessions to empower users in system upkeep.
  • Offering feedback to improve product quality providing insights based on field experience to enhance product quality.
  • Updating and correcting system documentation contributing to refining and maintaining accurate system documentation.
  • Identifying and isolating unique system problems contributing to comprehensive reporting for issue resolution.
  • Serving as a subject expert and training resource:
  • Sharing expertise to support ongoing training initiatives.
  • Note: This position involves approximately 30% travel.


What you will need
  • 2+ YOE as a Field Services Engineer or related role.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving.
  • Knowledgeable in electronics, pneumatics, automation, electromechanical systems, robotics, software, and operating systems. Experience with high-pressure systems and furnaces is advantageous.
  • Bachelors in Chemical, Chemistry, or Electrical engineering
