Scion Executive Search has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a strategic and confident HR Director for Washington's largest nonprofit social services providers. This pivotal role entails supporting two agencies under the umbrella of a programmatic housing authority encompassing over 600 employees. The position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000–$145,000 per year DOE and comprehensive benefits, including a 403b and pension plan. This is a full-time onsite opportunity in beautiful Seattle, WA 98144.
The Role: Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Director plays a pivotal role in upholding HR principles. This position oversees an experienced HR team that includes HR Managers and generalists. Leading with integrity, credibility, and dedication to the organization’s mission, the HR Director's contributions are crucial to our success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cultivate a collaborative environment that strengthens and increases communication among all departments with patience and respect.
- Extensive experience utilizing data analytics for continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence and educate others effectively who are resistant to change.
- Focus on continuous improvement.
- Address workload challenges to enhance staff retention and communication.
- Assess operational processes for efficiency and ensure proper staff training
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, HR policies, and employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee files and records, either electronically or in physical format.
- Mentor program managers and staff on HR matters.
- Prioritize multiple demands while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and effectiveness in diverse environments.
- Research and analyze information to make sound recommendations.
- Uphold high ethics, discipline, and professionalism, building trust with staff and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS required.
- Minimum 7 years of HR experience, including excellent team management.
- Extensive knowledge of HR disciplines, labor laws, and risk assessment.
- Skilled in judgment, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation.
- Exceptional ability to pivot, lead change, and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
- Project and team management experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; HRIS/INFOR a plus.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong leader with excellent influencing skills and ability to secure buy-in. Exceptional consultative, customer service, and negotiation skills for effective conflict resolution.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This rewarding full-time opportunity offers a competitive base salary of $125,000–$145,000, based on experience, and a robust benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, an FSA option, a commuter/parking subsidy, a 403b, and a pension plan.
