Scion Nonprofit Staffing, a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Donor Relations for immediate hire at an amazing non-profit that provides equality in business practices in McLean, VA!
**This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE, REMOTE opportunity.**
As the Director of Donor Relations, you will contribute to the organization’s growth and sustainability by pursuing funding from a variety of sources, increasing awareness of the organization’s work, goals, and financial needs, and building relationships with potential donors.

As the Director of Donor Relations, you will contribute to the organization’s growth and sustainability by pursuing funding from a variety of sources, increasing awareness of the organization’s work, goals, and financial needs, and building relationships with potential donors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies to secure funds nationally.
- Create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with the organization’s goals, effectively communicating the organization’s mission and impact to inspire support.
- Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with potential donors, sponsors, partners, and foundations.
- Research, write, and submit/present compelling grant and fundraising proposals to secure funding.
- Track and analyze fundraising metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising and donor relations
- Proven success in securing funds through various channels including foundation fundraising (both nonprofit and corporate), and fundraising with high-net-worth individuals and/or family foundations
- Track record of successful relationship building with meaningful monetary outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans, with proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences
- Advanced skills specifically in MS Dynamics, Excel, and PowerPoint
