Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our client, an organization committed to providing affordable homeownership opportunities to individuals and families based out of Santa Fe, NM.

What you will be doing:

• Managing the accounts payable process to support the accounting team.
• Processing payments accurately and in a timely manner, recording each transaction within the Accounting Software.
• Recording all cash disbursements promptly and accurately in the Accounting Software.
• Coding payables to appropriate funds, departments, and accounts.
• Entering general journal entries with adequate documentation.
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger account balances.
• Reviewing the work of others and providing departmental support as needed.
• Analyzing accounting records, including financial statements, for completeness and accuracy.
• Performing monthly financial analyses, including balance sheet and income statement reviews.
• Assisting with audits and other financial reviews.
• Collaborating with CFO, Controller, and other team members on fiscal strategies.
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure best practices in customer service.
• Utilizing relevant database systems and electronic tools to provide efficient service.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of financial/accounting/audit or related work experience in a financial institution or mortgage company.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
