Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Senior Accountant for our client, a wonderful organization dedicated to advancing homeownership and solid financial goals in New Mexico! In this role, you’ll utilize your accounting expertise to ensure records are kept with compliance and integrity in support of the organization’s mission! This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid role (3x a week onsite either in Albuquerque or Santa Fe)!

- Compensation range is $80-90k, depending on experience
What you will be doing:
- Daily accounting and month end close operations, (processing of invoices, adjusting entries, and recording cash deposits, etc) with appropriate documentation in GL and sub ledgers
- Document transactions appropriately for portfolio loan activities, cash management, organizational insurance, and LLCs (organizational LLCs, and LLC reconciliation)
- Oversee insurance needs for organization- review coverage levels with internal team and brokers, ensure appropriate coverage and opportunities for consolidation.
- Work with senior management and financials team to develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections
What you will need:
- 3+ years experience in financial/accounting related work in a real estate, mortgage or financials organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP principles and best accounting practices
- Knowledge in best financial practices in investment, loan, security, real estate, mortgage, or grants environment
- BS In related accounting/financials/economics or related field preferred
