Scion Nonprofit Staffing is searching for a Multifamily Housing Program Manager to join an impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving affordable housing! This position is a direct-hire, full-time, hybrid and based in Kansas City, Missouri
 
OVERVIEW 
The Rental Production Manager will be accountable to the Affordable Housing Director, operating within the Affordable Housing department. This division is responsible for coordinating a public-private partnership focused on creating affordable rental properties in Missouri, overseeing a team of motivated individuals! This role handles the allocation of federal and state funding, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), the HOME Program, and Housing Trust Fund resources, to support the development of affordable rental housing. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING  
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Affordable Housing division to devise and execute streamlined processes that enhance multifamily housing initiatives. 
  • Supervise and lead the Rental Production team. 
  • Take charge of the overall functioning of Rental Production programs, including managing staff workloads and overseeing projects. 
  • Enhance and refine existing standards, procedures, and tools for effective project management. 
  • Coordinate with the Director and senior staff to manage the Affordable Housing application process and production cycle. 
  • Ensure timely completion of Rental Production reporting, meeting federal and state deadlines. 
  • Work alongside the Director to optimize the utilization and integration of business tools and software systems. 
  • Maintain transparent communication with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the production process, resolving any issues and devising solutions as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to Affordable Housing program finances. 
  • Assist the Affordable Housing Director during Commission meetings and fulfill research requests as directed. 
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of responsibility, cooperation, and innovation to achieve optimal performance. 
  • Safeguard confidential information. 
  • Collect data and prepare necessary documents or reports to facilitate efficient business administration. 
  • Travel across Missouri as needed. 
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role. 
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in project management, certification is a plus. 
  • The ideal candidate should possess a background in multifamily real estate development, particularly in affordable housing. 
  • Demonstrated capability to lead a team of multiple staff and cultivate a high-performing team environment. 
  • Proficiency in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong skills in project management and organizational abilities. 
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving. 
  • Ability to make sound judgments and oversee diverse, advanced, and sometimes confidential administrative functions. 
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, with solid skills in Excel. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Attentive to detail. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both large and small groups. 
  • Openness and adaptability to rapidly changing workloads and deadlines. 
 
 
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 
This position offers a salary of $83,000 – 90,000K DOE.
