This critical role is available for immediate hire and offers a hybrid schedule, with flexibility for fully remote candidates outside the Bay Area who bring significant clean energy/climate justice expertise!
This impactful leadership position will oversee all aspects of fundraising, fund development strategy, and revenue growth, making a tangible difference in communities across the nation. Experience fundraising within the clean energy and climate justice sectors is essential.

Responsibilities
-
Partner with leadership to design and execute inspiring annual and long-term fundraising strategies.

Identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders, maintaining an updated grant opportunities database.

Craft compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry for foundation, government, and corporate funders.

Research and engage prospective major donors, fostering meaningful connections.

Collaborate with leadership to develop and nurture relationships with donors and grantmakers.

Support the Board of Directors with donor outreach initiatives.

Work alongside the communications team to create stewardship materials and donor engagement communications.

Maintain organized donor records in Salesforce, ensuring a seamless donation process.

Plan and execute impactful donor cultivation events.

Oversee grant reporting with attention to detail, ensuring alignment with funder expectations.

Represent the organization at events and speaking engagements with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Qualifications

Proven fundraising experience in the clean energy and climate justice sectors.

Extensive experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, and fundraising strategy.

Deep understanding of the funding landscape within clean energy and climate justice.

Experience working with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) is a major plus.

Demonstrated success leading significant fundraising efforts independently.

Experience securing funds from major donors, foundations, government, and corporate supporters.

Proficiency in Salesforce for donor and grant management.

Exceptional writing, organizational, and presentation skills.

Commitment to promoting renewable energy, combating climate change, and fostering equity.
