Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Accounting Coordinator, a faith-based organization dedicated to global outreach through daily broadcasts and humanitarian initiatives. Located in Albany, Oregon, this organization has grown to become a leading platform with substantial viewership. This full-time, onsite position is for immediate hire!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Spearhead financial operations, including the management of banking activities, donations, and online account management.
  • Collaborate closely with a local CPA to ensure meticulous tax compliance and strategic financial planning for both nonprofit and for-profit activities.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions with precision to maintain optimal financial health.
  • Champion payroll operations, including 401(k) management and HR-related tasks, ensuring seamless employee financial services.
  • Drive vendor management initiatives to optimize efficiency and support operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate charitable donation processes, tracking incoming and outgoing donations while managing the donor database.
  • Research and recommend cutting-edge accounting technologies and software to enhance operational efficiency and financial reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support organizational goals and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Complete understanding of QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of Adobe products.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Proficiency with paycheck software.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make a significant impact by managing essential accounting functions for an established nonprofit organization committed to making a positive difference. In addition to a competitive base salary of $85,000 to $100,000 DOE, this incredible role provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacations and holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k).
