Scion Nonprofit Staffing, a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for a Directing Attorney for immediate hire with a reputable nonprofit devoted to advocacy for low-income communities. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire, local remote opportunity in Salem, Oregon. 

As the Directing Attorney, you will oversee a team of 10 with a Supervising Attorney which includes attorneys and support staff.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee program workflows such as delegating cases and tasks as well as identifying areas of improvement for case handling procedures.
  • Supervise legal tasks performed by staff including intake and client representation, reviewing legal work quality, conducting case reviews, and resolving client- and case-related issues.
  • Lead and perform staff management tasks such as continuous training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Budget Management.
  • Oversee a small caseload.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of legal/litigation experience within a nonprofit, preferably advocating for low-income individuals or civil and human rights.
  • Licensed Attorney with the Oregon State Bar or can transfer license from another state.
  • 5+ years of Supervisory experience including managing Attorneys and other legal staff required.
  • Bilingual-Spanish a PLUS! (additional compensation of $4,000-$5,700 available).


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team! The salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000yr depending on years in role. Work week is only 35 hours! You will also be able to receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes EXCEPTIONAL individual and family health, vision, and dental insurance coverage; 6% employer retirement contribution; 12 paid holidays, healthy vacation, and sick leave; and paid moving expenses.
