Scion Nonprofit Staffing, is searching for a Development Manager for an amazing pediatric health and wellness nonprofit organization in Manhattan, New York. This full-time permanent position offers an opportunity to truly make an impact in the lives of children and families!
 
The Development Manager will be responsible for engaging with potential and established donors, grant advancement and reporting, program interface with the hospital, future management of development staff, written donor communications, managing of volunteer program, fundraising and donor reports and analysis, oversight of donation processing and acknowledgments, sponsorship materials development, assisting with event planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cultivate relationships with Board of Directors, institutional funder representatives, donors, Hospital staff, vendors, and beneficiaries.
  • Manage and update donor database through DonorPerfect.
  • Execute and refine fundraising initiatives, including the annual fundraising benefit, Toy Drive, and other campaigns.
  • Improve overall development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Operations Manager and bookkeeper for donation processing and recording.
  • Disseminate public relations and prospect materials.
  • Compile supporting documentation for grant proposals, sponsorship solicitations, and other communication materials.
  • Research potential grant opportunities.
  • Recruit and oversee intern(s).
  • Support new program development and implementation as needed.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years nonprofit development experience.
  • Degree in public relations, marketing/communications, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
  • CRM database management experience is a necessity, DonorPerfect preferred. 
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills including grants and donor communications.

COMPENSATION
In additional to working for an organization with a phenomenal mission and positive team-oriented work environment, this opportunity offers a salary range of $80,000-$83,000 along with paid medical, dental, and vision, 18 vacation days, 10 sick days, and 13 holidays!
