Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grants & Contracts Coordinator for our client, a globally impactful Nonprofit at the center of biodiversity, conservation, and human rights and working in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and movements worldwide. This is an exciting full-time, hybrid opportunity based out of Seattle, WA!

As the Grants & Contracts Coordinator, you will report to the Associate Director of Grants and be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day grant management and contract activity from pre-award, management, and closeout.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct due diligence prior to grant awards including financial risk assessments, security screening and establish appropriate financial risk mitigation measures.
  • Review submitted proposals and budgets with Technical Lead and develop grant agreements, including reporting and payment schedules.
  • Regularly review reports of the grants system(s) to ensure compliance of active grants in coordination with Program Coordinators.
  • Monitor and ensure approval of disbursements and accuracy in grant and financial systems.
  • In coordination with Program Coordinators, review financial reports submitted by grantees for accuracy and allowability in accordance with policies.
  • Develop & maintain effective, collaborative working relationships cross organizationally.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day compliance issues and spot/resolve red-flag compliance issues.
  • Ensure resolution of compliance issues in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Responsible for ongoing grant data input, data integrity, and clean-up in Salesforce.
  • Compliance updates
  • Review intake information and drafting of contracts
  • Ensure all contract intake steps are checked
  • Conduct data entry and maintenance in the contracts’ module in Salesforce
  • Produce reports as requested
  • Support template updates and maintenance
  • Support contracts close-out process
  • Support drafting of other agreement types as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of grants or contracts experience
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing a CRM system Salesforce ideal
  • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality
  • Data management skills
  • Familiarity with databases, including the ability to build and edit reports
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail while managing multiple and varied tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to create presentations to communicate process updates
  • High level of cultural fluency, with an ability to understand, respect and respond to sensitive cultural nuances associated with working alongside Indigenous peoples
  • Working knowledge of Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese.
  • Experience with global organizations and frameworks

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
