Scion Staffing is seeking an HR Coordinator for our partner, a corporate and portfolio branding company providing award-winning positioning. This position is a direct hire, hybrid role, and is located in New York City. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office. Monday and Friday are remote.



Are you just starting out in your HR career or would like to?  Our client is seeking someone with strong administrative support skills and seeking growth. This role supports the Director of Talent & Growth to ensure that all areas of HR are being managed effectively and efficiently. The Human Resources Coordinator will aid in areas of recruiting, onboarding, separations, and benefits administration.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Personnel and HR

  • Maintain employee personnel and I-9 files.
  • Keep employee forms, handbooks, and 401K educational materials in supply.
  • Handle employment verification requests.
  • Manage applicant tracking system: post/remove jobs, schedule interviews, send response letters, and maintain the database.
  • Support recruitment through resume sourcing, phone screening, and outreach.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on job descriptions and hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate new hire process, including IT setup and orientation meetings.
  • Evaluate department reports, decisions, and results; recommend improvements.
  • Prepare company-wide HR announcements.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations; research issues as needed.
  • Coordinate payroll updates, benefit invoices, and expense reports with Finance.

Office Administration and Operations:

  • Oversee clean and organized office operations
  • Oversee onsite services and logistics, ensuring office and kitchen supplies are stocked and equipment is functional
  • Organize office outings and happy hours to foster a positive culture
  • Communicate with vendors and direct them to relevant staff
  • Plan and organize meetings and events
  • Implement strategies to enhance team member satisfaction and productivity



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of human resources experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative support skills.
  • Mac proficient.
  • Excellent WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Paychex experience a PLUS!



COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team! The salary range for this role is $45,000-$50,000yr. You will also be able to receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes individual and family health, vision, and dental insurance coverage; 401k + match, commuter benefits, 16 paid holidays, summer 1/2 day Fridays, and 18 days of combined vacation, sick, and personal leave.
