Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Director of Communications and Operations for our client, an incredible Nonprofit organization dedicated to curing mesothelioma! This is an exciting, fully remote, 3-6 month opportunity working in EST!

As the Interim Director of Communications and Operations you will collaborate to support the organization’s operational needs and manage the organization’s marketing efforts to achieve patient recruitment, education, and fundraising goals.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

OVERSEE COMMUNICATIONS:
Collaborating on a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Website: Maintain the website and domain names. Graphic and technical development maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, minimal content development, SEO, Google Ads (currently, working with vendor to guide and create successful campaigns). 
  • Website interactive integrations: development of forms and placement on website for data capture, integration with database, autoresponder development and setup.
  • Data: database maintenance, access management
  • Brand management: consistency of messaging and visual identity to strengthen the organization’s brand.
  • Budget Management: Managing the budget allocated for communication activities, including advertising, events, and other promotional efforts.
  • Mass email communications: data segmentation, email design, content development, action items, analytics.
SYMPOSIUM
  • Oversee details for the Symposium in October.
  • Event website development
  • Registration form development
  • Sponsor benefits fulfillment – communication with sponsors to obtain their creatives, occasionally create art for sponsors who don’t have appropriate files of logos and other creative materials, work with sponsors to brainstorm ideas
  • Marketing with goal of meeting attendance projections
OPERATIONS
  • Administrative tasks relating to:
    • Audits
    • Compliance
    • Information gathering
  • Processes and systems
    • Identifying gaps
    • Development of systems
    • Supervision of systems and processes
  • Conference planning
  • Database management
  • CRM administration - Salsa
  • Administrator to SharePoint
  • Support of other departments with SOPs and systems
  • Collaborate with the finance team and board on bill review and approvals
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7-10 years of experience in communications and operations roles.
  • Proficiency in website management (WordPress or similar), SEO, Google Ads, social media platforms, video editing software
  • Proficiency with CRM systems - Salsa
  • Proficiency with SharePoint
  • Proficiency with database management.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
