Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for an Accounting Manager on behalf of our rapidly scaling client, High Flying Foods! This company specializes in offering unique and high-quality dining experiences at 40 locations in 5 major international airports throughout the United States. They partner with local chefs and restaurants to bring regional flavors and fresh ingredients to patrons, aiming to enhance dining experiences with authentic, artisanal options. This full-time, on-site opportunity is immediately available and based in Sausalito, California. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the performance and management of the accounting team in partnership with the Controller.
  • Post month-end accruals and amortization entries for prepaid items.
  • Produce income statements, pay interim sales tax, and create quarterly reports.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and investigate issues and anomalies with reported transactions.
  • Reconcile inter-store account balances and bank accounts.
  • Monitor bank activity and enter inter-company transfers.
  • Support Controller with managing the banking relationship.
  • Make and record payments such as various taxes, debts, LLC, etc.
  • Assist Controller and operations team in preparation of budgets.
  • Provide support for systems improvements and implementations
  • Track ongoing/recurring costs for various vendors (software, legal & professional).
  • Maintains Chart of Accounts and other corporate information records.
  • Manage electronic and paper accounting filing systems.
  • Renew annual insurance policies and lead the auditing process.
  • Maintain the fixed assets schedule and post monthly depreciation.
  • Customize system reports as required by third parties.
  • Process headquarters payroll and manage 401K contributions.
  • Assist with the financial aspects of new store openings, including creating new locations in all systems and setting up bank accounts.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Over 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 3 or more years in a management-level role.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory requirements.
  • Multi-entity experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in payroll and accounting software and MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) required.
  • Sage Intacct experience and or Paycom experience is a plus!
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality with sensitive company and employee information.
  • Ability to create and analyze complex financial reports and records.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
