Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Human Resource Manager for our partner, a state-of-the-art manufacturing company specializing in precision-engineered components in Buena Park, California! This is a full-time onsite position for immediate hire!
This incredible role works to support the CFO and team while acting as a true business partner across all functions, actively engaging in the company’s day-to-day operations. The Human Resource Manager will champion the company’s strategic vision and business culture, emphasizing entrepreneurship, results-driven outcomes, effectiveness, continuous improvement, and quality work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and transform organizational culture.
- Develop leaders through coaching and mentoring on performance management, people development, and team building.
- Implement best-in-class talent management practices, including setting appropriate candidate profiles, recruiting, onboarding, and developing talent.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
- Collaborate with Operations to create and articulate a sound headcount plan and address expansion needs.
- Work with the CEO/CFO to plan for the long-term development of key leadership roles.
- Manage budgets efficiently.
- Focus on solving problems rather than just reporting them.
- Be adaptable and open to new challenges.
- Set high expectations and goals for yourself and your team.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, streamline administrative tasks, and leverage technology to reduce manual work.
- Administration of all third-party vendors including but not limited to retirement, business insurance, health insurance, worker's compensation, legal, various compliance entities, and others as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or HR certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations, focusing on aerospace or manufacturing-specific requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound and timely HR-related decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, such as AS9100D and ISO 9001, preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
In addition to a competitive base salary of $120K-135K (DOE), with room for further career growth over time, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, retirement, paid vacation; performance bonuses, and more!
